A change is as good as a holiday?

I've been in the shop for 18 months now and thought it was time for a reshuffle of furniture. A customer came in and I said 'please excuse the mess I'm changing things around. A change is as good as a holiday. My mum always said this as she moved the furniture around at home. But then I wondered...is it? Or is this just a saying handed down through generations of Scots to make their children think they are not missing out? We hardly ever went on holidays, being on a farm, but we had a refreshed look on life because the lounge looked different? I still change the house around now and keep the saying going by telling Liam the same thing.
Here are some shots of the new set up. Previously the two big tables were in the middle of the shop and you would have to do a circuit around them.
